3) Condition yourself to this new lifestyle. Any weight loss regimen involves a change in lifestyle and habit of eating or activity. Lifestyle change is one of the harder things to pull off because of the need to modify your routine.

4) Strive for balance. Don’t limit yourself on the nutrients you need. Be sure to take in the nutrients that you need, but limit the carb. Never eliminate carb from your diet as the only food your brain will take in, is glucose which is the simplest carb.

The sad thing about the dieting mania is that the end goal of losing weight is to be attractive. The media uses this before-after scenario of a fat girl with no friends or cannot get the attention of the man she desires; and when she loses weight, the magic works its way to helping her gain friends or getting a lover. People should have the perspective that the best motivation to lose weight is to think of the health benefits of losing weight for overweight individuals or maintaining the weight for those with normal weight. The end goal is to develop a healthy functioning body regardless of what method you choose.
